When you enable vehicle services, we may collect information about how you use your vehicle and the technology, features and services you may activate, access and use. These may include:
Usage and performance
Sometimes we use your data individually, while sometimes we may combine it with other information to generate comprehensive group statistics for research and analytics. Collecting personal information helps us improve our products, services and how we operate our business. Here are the primary ways we use it.
Providing services and support
We may obtain information about you to provide, maintain or improve the vehicle technologies, services and other products we offer. This may include features and services such as Roadside Assistance, Remote Start and vehicle alerts, as well as methods for authenticating you as a user of our systems to process payments, perform technical operations (such as updating software) or respond to a possible emergency or other situation requiring urgent attention. Marketing and promotional purposes
We may collect user data to communicate with you via email or push notification about your account or use of our vehicle technologies and services. This may include sending you product updates, responding to your inquiries, providing you with news and newsletters, special offers, promotions or other information we think may interest you (including information about third-party products and services), or any other informational, marketing or promotional purposes. Please see the Your Rights and Choices section for more information about how to change your communications preferences. We may also send you notifications by text message if you have opted in to receive them.

We collect data that allows us to personalize the information and content we display to you, including marketing, promotional and sponsored content, as well as providing you with more relevant ads (if applicable).
Securing and protecting our rights
Complying with legal requests and obligations
We may use any data we collect to communicate with you about recalls, or to comply with any legal or regulatory obligations such as judicial proceedings, responding to a subpoena, warrant, court order or other legal process, or as part of an investigation or request—whether formal or informal—from law enforcement or a governmental authority.

We share your data with three types of partners: affiliates, service providers and suppliers, and select third parties such as Hyundai dealers who use such data to perform services on our behalf. We may share information like driving data and geolocation data, which they may use to better serve you, provide relevant offers, or respond to your requests. Otherwise, your information remains private unless we have your consent to share it.
We reserve the right to change our policy at any time, and will post any changes on our policy pages. Feel free to check back with us. If you have any concerns about your privacy at Hyundai, please visit our Contact Us page.
