Hyundai KONA is our gas-powered version of KONA, but KONA Electric is fully electric. As a matter of fact, the 2025 KONA Electric SEL and Limited trims can get an impressive EPA-estimated range of up to 261 miles, and all three trims can charge from 10% to 80% in as little as 43 minutes on a 400V DC fast charger.
At public DC charging stations and shopping centers with a 400V Level 3 DC fast charger, 2025 KONA Electric can charge from 10% to 80% in as little as 43 minutes. You can also charge this electric SUV at home with Level 2 charging with specialized equipment (sold separately) that plugs into a 240V AC outlet, which is typically used for larger appliances like dryers and water heaters. Level 2 charging from 10 to 100% takes as little as 4 hours 55 minutes (SE trim). KONA Electric also has regenerative braking, which turns the wheels’ rotations into electricity, which is stored in the battery. Control paddles behind the steering wheel let you choose from different levels of regenerative braking.
The MSRP for this electric SUV starts at $32,975 for the SE trim and goes up to $41,150 for the Limited trim.
