With a Level 2 240V charger get a full charge as fast as under 2 hours for TUCSON Plug-in Hybrid and 4 hours for SANTA FE Plug-in Hybrid. ⁠

In all-electric mode, the plug-in hybrid uses only the electric motor, which is powered by the battery. When driven as a hybrid, the motor and gas engine work together–with the engine providing most of the power at higher speeds and acceleration or when the battery is mostly depleted.
