Our $1.1 billion automotive assembly plant is one of the most advanced of its kind. The plant employs more than 2,000 highly skilled workers and began production of the Hyundai Sonata on May 20, 2005, and in 2007 added the Santa Fe to the production line. In 2007, the plant achieved Certification to the International Automotive Task Force’s most rigid quality management standard, ISO/TS 16949 – the highest automotive operating standard in the world.
Our 190,000-square-foot state-of-the-art engineering and technology center will play a vital role in supporting the development, design, and manufacturing of the next generation of Hyundai vehicles.
Our 4,300-acre facility was constructed to recreate the roads and highways across the U.S. to test and refine our industry-leading safety systems, such as our Electronic Stability Control and standard side-impact airbags. Our commitment to the development of safe, reliable, high-quality vehicles - designed especially for the American driver - must be proved every day.
Our $30 million design facility is fitted with the world’s most advanced visualization, graphics, and clay-modeling technologies to keep Hyundai at the forefront of car technology and design.
Our commitment to North America would not be complete without adding more American jobs. To date, thousands of jobs have been added across the United States, including places like California, Alabama, and Michigan.
