| Hyundai has been making huge strides in quality improvement.
In survey after survey, Hyundai has made important gains, impressing
the industry and our owners alike. Did you know that Hyundai has over
900 engineers dedicated solely to quality? |
 |
That our assembly plant in Alabama is one of the world's most advanced? Hyundai's new plant is technologically and environmentally state of the art - it has been certified as being among those with the highest automotive operating standards in the world. It's here that the new Sonata and Santa Fe are being built, especially for the American market.

 |
Every new Hyundai out of our Alabama plant has at least 2.3 miles on
the odometer? |
| Every Hyundai that comes off the assembly line is immediately
road tested on our special test track, to ensure that everything on your new Hyundai is working
exactly the way it should. No squeaks or rattles are acceptable. |

 |
That we have intolerant robots?
We have more than 250 welding robots, and additional robots that check the work of those welding robots. Complex optical sensors at these check stations measure tolerances, ensuring tight welds and minimal gaps between panels. |
 |
That we test every single vehicle?
We’re so driven to perfection that we don’t just test
a sample of vehicles, but we test every one coming off the line in
Alabama. Here we ensure the integrity of the door seals by putting
the Sonata through a high-pressure water chamber. |
 |
 |
 |
That we put every Hyundai through extremes?
Each model we design is tested over 100,000 miles to ensure a trouble-free
ownership experience. This is a grueling test under extreme conditions.
We test our vehicles so thoroughly that we can confidently offer a
100,000-mile warranty – something that few other carmakers offer
– not Honda, not Toyota. |
 |
Our team members are among the best trained in the
world?
While advanced technology is critical, our team members are just as
important. Each team member undergoes rigorous and continuous training.
We even have factory simulators to train team members on the advanced
systems that we use. |

 |
That Hyundai is a safety pioneer?
Hyundai was the first non-luxury manufacturer with standard front
and side-impact airbags on every model. |
 |
The Tucson and Sonata got the government’s
highest crash rating?
Five stars from the NHTSA.* The best you can get. And the Entourage earned the IIHS’s
highest honor – the gold “TOP SAFETY PICK” award
– the best rating ever for a minivan in a recent evaluation
by the Institute. Proof, yet again, of Hyundai’s industry-leading
focus. |
 |
 |
 |
That Hyundai has technology to help prevent accidents?
According to NHTSA, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) can help reduce
single vehicle crashes involving cars by 35% and single vehicle crashes
involving SUVs by 67%. You’ll find ESC standard on Sonata, Tucson,
Azera and the all-new 2007 Santa Fe. |
 |
That Hyundai offers advanced seat technology to help
reduce injuries?
They’re called Active Head Restraints, and they’re integrated
into the front seats of many Hyundai models. So if another vehicle
hits your Hyundai from behind, the head restraint moves up and forward
to help cushion your head and help minimize whiplash-type injuries. |
 |
 |
 |
That every Hyundai will soon have a minimum of six
airbags?
Even our entry-level car, the 2007 Accent, will feature six airbags,
standard. Across the board, we will offer more standard airbags than
competitive manufacturers. Hyundai is committed to providing passive
safety measures, like airbags that protect you when an accident occurs,
as standard features on all of our vehicles. Few carmakers can make
this claim. |
 |
 |
 |
Our cars take a primer and electricity bath?
We roll our car bodies through a paint primer bath 11 times. While
it’s electrically charged. The bath and body have opposite charges,
so that the bath is drawn to the body like a magnet, ensuring thorough
coverage in all the little nooks and crannies, and ensuring a new
level of corrosion protection. |
 |
That our assembly plant in Alabama is one of the
world’s most advanced?
Hyundai’s new plant is technologically and environmentally state
of the art. It’s here that the new Sonata and Santa Fe are being
built, especially for the American market. |
 |
How green we are?
All of our vehicles are certified Low-Emission vehicles and six of
our models are certified Ultra-Low-Emission Vehicles. The all-new Elantra
is even certified PZEV (Partial Zero Emission Vehicle) in many markets. |
