Hyundai has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain 2006 through 2010 model year Hyundai Sonata and 2006 through 2011 Hyundai Azera vehicles. This recall affects such vehicles registered in and operated in Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wisconsin, and the District of Columbia (the Salt Belt).
A Vehicle Identification Number, commonly known as a VIN, is a unique
17-character number used to identify an individual vehicles manufacturer, model, body style, engine size.
Usually located on the driver’s side dashboard (viewable from the windshield) or inside driver’s side door jamb (on a sticker).
